November 2023 Recap

Last time in Jericho Junction:

  • Grand Father Aloysius Rosenberg held a Family Dinner to sit down and break bread with the town as a prelude to the final discussions of the Rosenberg Proposal.

  • After dinner, the townsfolk countered the proposal with an offer of their own, a deal in which Jericho Junction would retain autonomy while getting resources from the Rosenberg Community. A particular sticking point was the Rosenberg's Community Standard that required Gorges to consume their Strain-based meals in private or properly prepare it.

  • Grand Father Rosenberg stayed firm on his proposal, citing that the Community Standards have worked in the other settlements in his Community. Eventually, he surmised that there would be no agreement between the two parties and took his leave; saying "I'm sorry we couldn't be neighborly about this."

  • After Family Dinner and the negotiations, Stuart Honeycutt of the 105th Diamondback division waltzed in a made some demands of his own; asking for the people who hunted down his people like dogs and who trained a local Red Star cell, Cell 23, how to kill his soldiers. The town refused as they were being shot by snipers and Stuart continued to waltz around throwing insults as Lightless Dead flooded the building. He left unscathed and without that which he demanded.

  • Reverend Matthew Smith, leader of the Beacon's Glow cult, and wanted by Department M-12, was tracked down and confronted by several townsfolk. Despite his willingness to be captured and taken into custody by M-12, he was violently killed...much to his glee.

  • The Ironhearts, a Diesel Jock clan formerly out of Rich Man's Land, continued to harass the town, eventually with one of them coming out with the zed of their former clanmate, screaming about how the town is selfish and cares nothing for the harm they cause. Eventually, there was apologies and a promise to make amends to the Ironhearts.

  • Townsfolk, working off of research consolidated by HOVLaneville's Medical Board and independent experiments managed to figure out how to cure someone of the hidden mark the Lightless Dead and Beacon's Glow cultists inflict on their victims.

  • Strange radio signals continued to pour into the radio receiver Second Division installed. The town continues to be confused as to their source.

  • A new type of zed has continued to make unsettling appearances, covered in eyes and endlessly curious about the townsfolk.

  • A group of individuals performed a Benediction Of The Drowned Gods and saw images that implied Mamaw, an old Quiet Folk up in the mountains to the west. She once performed a ritual that allowed for the payment of Infection for a specific herb to be farmable again. But her benevolence seemed to be a construction, as it was revealed she may in fact be the one behind the blight.
