Survivors met in the town of Rich Man’s Land, former capital of the Deadfall Region, for a summit graciously hosted by the city’s leading Elitariat families. The purpose of this conference? To discuss the future of the frontier town known as Jericho Junction and the contentious Rosenberg Proposal.
The summit took place with Mayor Jill Proshop of HOVLaneville, Mr. Aeye of New Paradise Savings & Loans, Director Robert Reddington of Department M-12, and Colonel Ezra Sampson of Second Division as well as Grand Father Aloysius Rosenberg and a surpise appearance of Trinity Manhattan of the Diamondbacks.
Through discussion, it was shown that HOVLaneville was not receptive to the Rosenberg Proposal but New Paradise, Second Division, and M12 were, citing that Jericho needs resources and help and Grand Father Rosenberg is conveniently offering just that.
Concerns were raised about Father Seed, a member of the Rosenberg Community who had been accused of brainwashing and indoctrination. This accusation was refuted by Grand Father Aloysius Rosenberg, who provided a report from one of M12's medical professionals. The document stated that the individual in question showed no such signs of either, as far as their medical processes could ascertain.
Around the talks, people took in the sights and atmosphere of Rich Man's Land, interacting with the four families who preside over the city. Through working various jobs for them, it became apparent that the elite and wealthy benefit greatly from the hard work and desperation of the poorer citizens, who fight and scrape for every bit they can get.
One such job resulted in an explosion at a fort just outside Rich Man’s Land that had been taken over by rambunctious gang of Diesel Jocks, known as the Ironhearts. The explosion wrecked their rides and left the gang torn and tattered.
An anarchist gang with perhaps more noble intentions also showed themselves in the city—a group of KQC devotees called Liberty Or Death, who saw opportunities to cause the families strife with the appearance of their new visitors.
HOVLaneville, while in the city, saw an opportunity to dig into a Pre-Fall medical facility to find any information or research notes that might help them get a better understanding of the Infection. The crew that went down was successful in finding a group of very old zed within a Pre-Fall morgue. What documents could be salvaged were taken back to HOVLaneville for further study.
A Diamondback caravan that was hauling gallons of Code Black Extract, a substance used in the treatment of the Granfallon phenomena, was hit by a hired crew in order to secure the precious resource. Such a large amount would be more than enough to cure and entire town's worth of Granfallon marked lineages. A valuable find, indeed.
